Fuzzy Logic Electric Trike

Fuzzy Logic Electric Trike

The aim of the project is to provide an alternative to end mile distance connectivity and in turn reduce the ever increasing pollution and demand on fuel resources. Electric vehicles drives offer a number of advantages over conventional internal combustion engines, especially in terms of lower local emission, higher energy efficiency and decreases dependency upon fossil fuel. The vehicle uses a 72V system unlike a 24V or 48V system while compared to other vehicles. This system proves to be efficient in terms of reduced cost in conductors sizing, followed by reduced losses. The vehicle uses a Fuzzy Logic Control System to detect the obstacle’s distance in front of the vehicle and automatically controls the system of the vehicle to avoid accidents. The vehicles achieved a high speed of 60 kpmh in echo mode safely with good turning stability. The vehicles can drive in an upgradient of about 23 degrees for 100 mps and at a speed of 15 kmph. The vehicle can attain mileage of 50 km at a constant speed of 30kmph. The charging period of the batteries is only 60 minutes with a smart charging facility with over voltage, under voltage and under frequency protection. The project deals with the design and development of 3 wheeled tadpole structured electric trike. The design involves mechanical molding, battery selection, motor selection with control circuit. AI technology is been planned to implement in software for control mechanism.
