Fire Drill -Phase 2

The aim of the study is to evaluate the integration process of this virtual reality application into authentic learning environments in terms of student opinions. Case study methodology was used in the study. The results show that this technology provides useful and permanent learning, practice opportunity to students, and this technology increases the motivation and engagement to the courses as well. It has been pointed out by the students that this technology should be used as a practice environment after the theoretical courses in authentic learning environments because this technology can save time and prevent cost lost in addition to avoiding risk factors. The physical environment of the classes can be improved and wireless virtual reality goggles can be used for using this technology, more effectively and efficiently as a course support material in authentic learning environments. Plant Simulator – Phase 2

The Plant Simulator (PS) is an IT infrastructure created to replicate the exact plant conditions and to enable both the CROP(s) and the Field Operator(s) (shortly referred to as FOP) to cooperate as they would do in reality, i.e. as a team. The PS allows for CROPs and FOPs to experience both rationally and emotionally the same situations they would live in reality in terms of process behavior and consequences originated by either nominal or abnormal operating conditions.

ARVR Three-phase Induction Motor & Synchronous Generator

Synchronous generators are commonly used for variable speed wind turbine applications, due to their low rotational synchronous speeds that produce the voltage at grid frequency. Synchronous generators can be an appropriate selection for variable speed operation of wind turbines. They does not need a pitch control mechanism. The pitch control mechanism increases the cost of the turbine and causes stress on turbine and generator. Synchronous generators in variable speed operation will generate variable voltage and variable frequency power. Using an ARVR in this project we are trying to showcase the entire working of 3 phase Induction Motor and Synchronous Generator for the better understating of the subject in the visual manner.

Plant Simulator –VR

This is a VR application that teaches an user on how to plant and grow different plants. The aim is for the user to understand how all the important factors like moisture, soil, manure, sunlight etc. affect the growth of different plants. At present we are able to develop two types of plant simulations – one for Hibiscus flower and one for Orange tree. The application is in form of a quiz wherein the user is given questions and multiple type answers. The kind of answers shows the growth of the plant / tree.

Fire Drill procedure in VR

To help buildings maintain their life safety and risk management programs during the pandemic virtual reality fire drills, is the latest addition to technology solutions. A complete photo-realistic model of the building’s interior, including the common areas on each floor, lobbies, and stairwells is built by the team. Then, using a smartphone, tablet, or desktop, building occupants can: • Leave their suite, locate stairwells and fire extinguishers and fire alarm pull stations • Travel down all stairwells to their relocation floor and evacuate the building to their assembly area • Learn to use emergency phones and other life safety devices • Receive drill instruction from a firefighter Several fire departments around the country have already approved the new technology as an acceptable alternative fire drill format during the pandemic, and most major-city departments are currently evaluating it.
